Homecoming

School has been on my back lately. I can’t find the time to manage my site, while doing school work. I do apologize for my absence.

I was informed that the site had some issues with the server about a week ago. Everything seems to be working fine now. It was really odd, but I’m glad everything is back to normal.

I’m extremely excited since homecoming is just around the corner. My first homecoming, so I want to make it worth it. I’ve embraced my materialistic side, and am in search for a nice dress. I plan to go dress shopping with my friends today, so let’s hope that I find what I’m looking for. My school is extremely big on dances. Since the school’s only been open for about 2 years, we don’t have the budget to get that many dances. And we’re pretty big on football too, so homecoming is a huge event. My friends and I are going boy hunting, so we can have a date. Haha!

I’ve put up a new layout featuring Demi Lovato. I am in love with that girl! I have pretty much all her discography, it’s insane. While sitting at my Photoshop and cPanel, I have my iTunes out, listening to all her songs on repeat. This layout was meant to be put up a week ago, but hence the blog title, I have already started school.
Alas, the first week of high school is over. It was a pain to get up every morning about 4 hours before I normally did during the summer and learn. But I love my schedule, and it’s great to see all my friends again.

Majority of my friends are in my classes, excluding Photography, which might as well be the most boringest class of them all. When signing up, I was so excited to be taking pictures and developing them, but the teacher’s voice is monotone, and I’m all alone. Majority of the students are sophomores or juniors, so I’m kind of intimidated by the upperclassmen. :P Hopefully the road will turn, and I’ll make some new friends, or the class will change for the better.
The homework has already piled up, and I’ve got some textbook pages, worksheets, articles, and projects to complete (not to mention all those school supplies I still have to go and purchase). I find it extremely annoying that one day I’ll be absolutely free, with no homework assigned, then the next day, I’ve got an unbelievable amount of homework to complete, all due tomorrow.
Not to add, that my classes are all on opposites sides of the school. Once class will be on the 2nd floor, on the right side, and my next class will be on the 1st floor on the left size. I still haven’t figured out the bell schedule nor my class room numbers, so I’m just walking around till I find them, or the bell rings.

It was nice to be able to sleep in today.

Since high school is on the way, I haven’t been able to check up on my site. I’m extremely excited to be a freshmen, but I’m sure the excitement will die down after a week of waking up so early.

As for the phones on my last blog, thank you for all your suggestions. I ended up getting the iPhone 3GS and I’m really impressed. I’ve gotten used to texting on it, and the camera is loads better than my previous phone.

Edit: I’m switching from T-Mobile to AT&T and I’m stuck on a phone. My parents are offering an iPhone, which is great, but I still want to see my other options (considering that I suck at texting on the iPhone, and I text way too much…). I’m thinking about a LG Xenon. It’s both a touch screen, and slides out to a QWERTY keyboard. If anyone has this phone, then please tell me your opinions. You know, the pros and cons. If you have any other phones to suggest, be my guest! Thanks for the help!

\For the past week, I went away to Arkansas and Missouri in celebration of my sister’s 16th birthday. It was extremely fun, and a nice get away before school started. Although I know many people dread school, I’m a bit excited, considering it’s my freshman year. I don’t want to freak out about the new environment, so I’m going to make the most of my first day. New friends, anyone?

I feel like I’ve been gone for too long.
I’ve been stuck with a lot of drama. I don’t feel it’s necessary for me to spill the details, because I don’t want to be that freaky girl who gives you a play-by-play of my life. All will turn out fine, I just have the tendency to spazz out over little things.

Being the nerd I am, I’ve spent the past couple days drowning myself in pity, watching YouTube videos about Comic Con. Personally, I don’t really want to go for the comic book related attractions, or the extremely revealing costumes (though I do have to admit that some of the costumes are pretty cool <3), but I'm obsessing over the Disney related trailers and what have you.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll is my all time favorite book. It's amazing, and that's coming from someone who rarely reads. I was screaming when I saw the trailer for the upcoming Tim Burton movie. I've suddenly realized the feeling fan girls got when the Twilight movie came out.

I seriously wish I went to Comic Con.

My dad got one of our older computers fixed, so now we have an additional computer to our family ;D Although the settings are a little outdated, the connection is extremely fast, and the screen is beyond bright. It hurts my eyes a bit, reading small text. It appears as if someone insane took over the sharpen tool and scribbled all over the text, but I can get used to it.
I totally fail at trying to make a portfolio. I’ve got everything set up, I just need to add the images and previews. It’s such a hassle resizing everything to an equal amount But the portfolio is on it’s way.

I’m obsessed with this song: Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship

It’s quite possibly the best song at the moment for me. It’s absolutely addicting.

I’ve finally created a new layout, as promised! I think it looks nice. It didn’t take long to make, it’s just the inspiration that took up most of the time. I have about 4 other layouts, aside from this one, which have all failed.
Although a lot of my resources are futile, I still think I’ve put at least some amount of effort and work to it, so I’m not going to be deleting them. I’ll put them as they are, but don’t be expecting any updates of any kind. I haven’t quite yet added my portfolio, but I’m setting it up.

To make this blog a little more blog-ish, I’ll post some of the Youtubers I like.
I’m always prone to watching their new videos, and every time they update, I’m well aware.

Hey guys I was away for a week because I went to Colorado. It was amazing! It definitely beats the weather down where I live.

I’m converting the site to a blog/portfolio kinda thing. I’m tired of updating (like you haven’t heard that before…), but I’d still like to keep a site up. Everyone has been noticing my decline in activity, so I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.
I’m working on a new layout to go with the whole concept of the site.

I have a new layout up! I’m in love with it. It’s big and refreshing. My other layout was a tad bit too small, and felt so squished.
I chose to feature the NoH8 Campaign. It’s a silent protest against laws banning same-sex marriage. Now, I’m not superhuman activist, but I find the concept intriguing and something worth fighting for. I’m not some die-hard, fight on the street kind of person. I’m not going to beat you down if you don’t agree to gay marriage. I’m a pro-choice kind of person. There’s no need to follow the book every step of the way.
I came across the campaign while reading Perez Hilton (now you know how I spend my spare time). I love conceptual photography, so I was interested in learning more behind the catchy phrase. Some research brought me to the website.
Personally, I think it’s a great way to protest. It’s non-violent, but still gets the message across. You should definitely check out the site.
And plus, when I was looking at the NoH8 pictures, I found some of the guys extremely hot <3

I'm kind of mad, though. I updated the site about a week ago, and with my host changing the server and what have you, I lost all of it. I'll have to recode the Hanna Beth layout, and post the icon tutorial and textures that were lost. Gahh. I hate this. So I guess you'll definitely be expecting some “re-updates”.
Other than that, updates will be cut a bit short (not like they haven’t been already) for the next 3 weeks. I’m taking summer school to get ahead — no worries, I didn’t fail — so I’ll be gone for 6 hours everyday, except weekends (you know the drill).
